Job Purpose

Presales Engineer (Banking Industry) will be responsible for supporting the sales team in developing technical solutions and providing a deep understanding of customer needs, especially in the banking sector. The ideal candidate is able to translate business needs into technical solutions and has a strong understanding of processes, systems, and regulations in the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing the business needs of clients, particularly in the banking sector (retail, digital, corporate banking).Drafting and presenting technical solutions based on the company's products and services.
• Collaborating with product, sales, and delivery teams to prepare proposals, HLD/LLD, and demo proof-of-concept (POC).
• Providing technical support during meetings with clients or tenders/pitching.
• Keeping up with regulatory and technological developments in the banking industry (e.g., BI-FAST, ISO 20022, Open API, PJK compliance).
• Preparing technical documentation such as solution architecture, BoQ, and RFP/RFQ documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a presales, system analyst, consultant, or engineer in IT solutions for the banking sector

A. Technical Skills:

• Understanding IT architecture in the banking industry: core banking, middleware, database, API gateway, IT security.Understand IT architecture in the banking industry: core banking, middleware, database, API gateway, IT security.
• Familiar with topics such as:- ISO 8583, ISO 20022- SWIFT, BI-FAST, QRIS, Open API, ATM/CDM, EDC, Mobile Banking- Security (encryption, tokenization, 2FA, audit log, DLP)● Experience in preparing technical proposals and participating in tenders (procurement of goods/services).

• Understand deployment models (on-premise, hybrid cloud, SaaS).

B. Skills in Information Security:

• Understanding of information security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
• Experience with security solutions like firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection.
• Understanding of the Zero Trust Architecture concept and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Able to explain and implement application security practices (secure coding, OWASP Top 10).
• Experience collaborating with compliance teams for security audits and IT risk mitigation.
